In December, WGT will run the first-ever Virtual Tour Championship, with a record ONE MILLION WGT CREDIT PURSE, a value of $10,000 in WGT Credits.

The Top 70 players who finish in each of the Pro thru Tour Legend tiers on the Virtual Tour season leaderboard thru November will qualify to play in the December Championship. Held 12/2 to 12/8 for a prize purse of 500,000 WGT Credits. See details below.

2014 WGT Virtual Tour Championship

PART 1

• Date - 12/2-12/8
• Eligible - Top 70 players in each of the Pro thru Tour Legend tiers based on the Virtual Tour Season Leaderboard thru November as posted on December 1 
• Round 1 - Tue 12/2 to Fri 12/5 - unlimited-play round on Kiawah, 18-hole stroke play
• Round 2 - Sat 12/6 to Mon 12/8 - single-play round on Pinehurst No. 2, 18-hole stroke play
• Scoring - Combined score from Round 1 and Round 2 
• Purse - 500,000 WGT Credits distributed to the Top 70 players in each Pro thru Tour Legend tier, and the 1st place prizes in WGT Credits by tier are: 
  • Tour Legend: 31,500 
  • Legend: 22,500 
  • Tour Master: 13,500 
  • Master: 9,000 
  • Tour Pro: 7,700 
  • Pro: 5,900 

PART 2

• Date - 12/11-12/14
• Eligible - The top 4 Tour Legends from the previous rounds 
• Final Round - Thu 12/11 to Sun 12/14 - single-play round on a brand new WGT strokeplay course to be announced (will be released on 12/10 for practice rounds
• Stream - In order to be eligible for these prizes, each player must stream their complete final round on Twitch, notifying WGT in advance so WGT can contact players to watch
• Scoring - Single round score
• Purse - 500,000 WGT Credits distributed to the 4 Tour Legends based on their final round score. The prizes are as follows: 
  • 1st place: 250,000 
  • 2nd place: 125,000 
  • 3rd place: 75,000 
  • 4th place: 50,000

This week's Country Club of the Week is... Aussie Aussie Aussie, a group of "mates" led by club owner SHRUDE.

The Aussie Aussie Aussie country club has 210 members, including 4 officers,  and is currently ranked #28 on the Weekly Leaderboard. At Club Level 8, they have unlocked a number of country club benefits, including a free Putter Pal and Shot Pal for all of their members and earning +3% XP per round. Keep playing using CC Passes to level up your club to unlock these benefits too.

Owner SHRUDE, a Level 97 Tour Legend, describes the club for us:

"Aussie Aussie Aussie! prides itself on 'mateship' and a relaxed, happy culture.

Most of our members have been with us for more than 2 years, the loyalty in the club is one I have found personally fulfilling. 

Aussie Aussie Aussie! members enjoy the ability to create their own tourneys for fun and for serious competition. We have a very active forum with a good percentage of club participation within.

New in this event, all Top 25 clubs have been awarded the new Gnome tee markers and flags, which they can enjoy in their own country club tournaments.

And members of all the Top 1,000 finishing country clubs have each earned rewards, which are awarded automatically, and include bonus CC Passes and Speed Boosts.

Play CC Event #2 today and tomorrow to compete against other country clubs.

WGT Country Clubs can now play against each other for rankings and new in-game rewards, including new custom tee markers and flagsticks that you can use in country club tournaments, and the much talked about MAX CC Rewards Gold Putter.

CC Event #2 runs from Thu 12 PM PST to Fri 2 PM PST and is made up of multiple 4-hour Club Clashes where you're matched up with another country club.

When a CC Event starts, anyone in your country club can enter your club. Once your club is entered, you'll get matched up with another club, similar to your club's skill level, which starts the Club Clash and a timer will show how much time is left in each Clash.

Each Club Clash will be played on nine-holes at either St Andrews, Merion, Congressional or Oakmont. Post as many good rounds as you can for your country club in each Club Clash, using either a Club Pass or a new Superpass to multiply your points.

The winning clubs in each Club Clash receive additional bonus points, and at the end of the CC Event, the top club wins the new MAX CC Putter to award to a lucky club member, and the Top 25 clubs each win new Gnome Tee Markers and Flagsticks. Gnomes!

This week's Country Club of the Week is... Tin Cup Country Club, a small club run by club owner Wesdogg75.

The Tin Cup Country Club currently has 30 members, including 3 officers, at Club Level 5 with almost 48,000 Total Rounds played.  At Club Level 5, they have unlocked a number of country club benefits, including a free Putter Pal and Shot Pal for all of their members and earning +2% XP per round. Keep playing using CC Passes to level up your club to unlock these benefits too.

Owner Wesdogg75, a Level 99 Tour Legend, had this to say about the club:

"We are a small group that started with about 5 or 6 guys that played together all the time. We have always been a close and tight knit group, many of us have been a part of the club for 3 years or more.

We enjoy playing matches with/against other country clubs and have been active in club tournaments as well as community-organized tournaments."
