It's only the first day of all the new Country Club features on WGT, but thousands of WGT players are helping  level-up their clubs, and there are over thirty clubs already at Club Level 3.

Sitting at the top of the Country Club Weekly Leaderboard in the game is UK Golfers Elite, who have already earned over 43,000 XP this week, wow!

At Club Level 2, all of their members got free unlimited Putter Pal, and when they reach Level 4 pretty soon, they'll all get free unlimited Shot Pal. Plus XP Bonuses, more tournaments and more. See more about new Country Clubs here.

What's really impressive is that UK Golfers Elite only has 88 members, but they're clearly very active, and range from a Level 30 Pro alfonzo1982 to a Level 119 Legend gersman1972...and from outside the UK too. It sounds like a fun group, and their Country Club page says it best...

"UKGE is a busy, lively, social CC, with a variety of weekly comps, leagues, one-on-one tourneys, inter CC comps, matchplay comps, team comps, etc. etc. The competition between members is fierce, but always friendly. Members also have access to a private Facebook group - the 19th Hole."

...but watch out UKGE, both Senior Citizens and The old duffers retreat are coming up fast...well, as fast as seniors and old duffers can :)

Country Clubs in WGT just got better, as members can now help level-up their Country Club, unlocking new benefits for all other Country Club members.

For example, at Country Club Level 2, all Country Club members get free unlimited Putter Pal, and at Level 4 all members get free unlimited Shot Pal. Additionally, members can now earn more personal XP, run more tournaments and add more members as their clubs level-up, all for free.

To help level-up your Country Club, you'll use a new Country Club Pass, which you receive free daily, and the next round you play will earn XP (Experience Points) for both you AND your club. Players can also purchase Country Club Passes if they want to help level-up their club even faster.

There's a lot more coming for WGT Country Club members soon. If you're not in a Country Club yet, it's easy to join one or create one, and start running your own private tournaments and building a network of WGT friends.

WGT player poldimaier (Germany) has won the second major of the WGT Virtual Tour, the Transamerica Championship held on The Olympic Club.

It looks like poldimaier is on a roll this summer, being recently crowned the 2014 Virtual U.S. Open champion, and now a Virtual Tour major winner. He led the Tour Legend field by 4 strokes, with ladyluck87 (108) finishing second and jmoney2224, fmagnets and BolloxInBruges (109) all tied for third. The Aphrodite Country Club had an impressive showing as well, with 3 of its members in the top 10 of the Tour Legend tier, including the top 2 spots.

Congratulations to all the winners of the Transamerica Championship who win their share of the huge 400,000 WGT Credit purse.

The Virtual Tour season is still close with the opportunity for many players to finish the season ranked in the Top 64 in their tier and qualify for the Virtual Tour Championship in December with a record purse of ONE MILLION WGT CREDITS. In the Tour Legend tier of the very best WGT players, dansamcam has won four regular events, while frenchconnect and poldimaier have each won one major, placing them high in the season standings.

WGT players should be sure to compete in the Virtual Tour every month, so they accumulate Virtual Tour credits and qualify for the December Championship. This month's event in August is The First Tee Open held on Bethpage Black, host of the 2009 U.S. Open. Bethpage is one of the more challenging golf courses on WGT, it's a long course with thick rough and mostly raised greens, putting a premium on power, accuracy and course management.
