Launcher not working on Windows PC

     If you have Windows 11 just type into your start button search, Windows SubSystem for Android. I installed it just the other day and it runs WGT from the Amazon app store amazingly well.

    I should just give up, Scott - the "install" button is greyed out...



       


     

     

    EDIT: So I thought - maybe I should install the Amazon Appstore...

    If you're having trouble (when using the PC app) getting past the "Loading..." screen, you could also try using a VPN.  That might allow you to be routed to a WGT server in another location that doesn't have the loading problem.  

    A friend of mine had that exact same problem.  Once he connected via a VPN, the problem went away for him.

    Check here for system requirements. Might be your location Phil that is preventing you from installing it.

    Phil, I was just looking through more info about the SubSystem and I forgot that I had to enable CPU Virtualization in my bios for it to work, that might be because I upgraded from Win 10 to Win 11, if you bought your machine with Win 11 pre-installed, that setting might already be on. Sorry about that, silly old fool I am.

    Hi Scott, no, I upgraded last autumn when our office machines went over to 11 - seemed pointless using different versions on different computers if I didn't have to, but, yep, it's enabled 

     

                                      

     

    and for what it's worth so are Hyper-V and Virtual Machine Platform

    And Customer Service have officially dumped me

     

    "Unfortunately I am not sure what else I can suggest for you to try as I am showing the game working correctly on a number of other devices. You may need to seek technical support locally beyond what we can provide."
