    DodgyPutter:
The old thread was called "players quitting" and that's what he wanted to discuss, if when using English he put it in a way that seemed abrupt to you is that really a big deal?

I didn't say or suggest it was a big deal. I said I didn't know what the point was.

    DodgyPutter:
The quoted comment from him clearly came from what PureGro1 rightly said.  He didn't mention generosity or lack of it, you brought that up.  He wasn't asking to be gifted anything, although perhaps he expected civility.

Again, I didn't say he mentioned generosity or lack of it. I took the opportunity to simply mention it in reply to that post because in a subsequent post he wrote:

I 've obviously not made myself clear but the next time I get a friendly, informative ,humorous or light hearted reply from anyone will be the first time . WGT is indeed populated with ******* ********* . :))

My point is the forum is also populated by good, well-intended individuals.

Did you ever stop to think ? And forget to start again ?

Would I have had to start in the first place, in order to stop in the first place, and then to forget to start again?  At least I think, unless, of course, I forgot to start in the first place and only thought I did.

If that was the case, then just by me thinking I started in the first place and only thought I did, is thinking, at least I think, or do I. I mean, of course I do, right. I think I do so therefore I must, unless I just think I do and then I am not, I think.

LMAO . You are too funny HP . Lol you really make me laugh . Thanks for all your GR8 humor .

yes I agree , thank you . I hadn't noticed the post was so old , I was just looking for a place to post my opinion on conceding a game.

I'm just quoting this post because I believe it's the most recent one of yours in the thread.

Apologies for any of my posts that offended. It was certainly not my intent. Please consider sticking around the forums. There are a lot of good people on here.

I sent you some sleeves of balls. I hope you received them.

I play to win , like everybody else on WGT ,but if it becomes obvious that it is not going to happen , whether due to my opponents 'brilliance' or my own lack of the same . I find it pointless to continue  just for the sake of completing the round . If people need their egos massaging then that's their problem , I don't . I feel the that 'conceding' the game is sufficient acknowledgement of their prowess in that particular round and we can both move on to the next challenge without wasting time and shots .  In coin games I don't feel that any etiquette applies  and I'm not offended or peeved in the slightest if somebody I've never met and never will ,slags me off in a game or forfeits it .In fact I'm all for it . Also I find it ridiculous that wgt is spending time and our money modifying the chat when there is so much more that can be done in the game itself .

Unfortunately here in WGT completing the round may make the difference on whether anyone gets credit for the round . Especially coin rounds .

The older formats seem to close out and or continue properly .

And if it is a matter of just 1 more hole . The time it takes in a sporting gesture to help insure the program actually exits . Then it's time well spent .

I know that's a strange concept to some . It's not required . But it is requested .

@Duphpherer . This guy had a response I guess he pulled it back . He had some good points about players wasting sponsor time . And purposely using up the clock . Either by way of timeouts , knowing that it will piss off the opponent . Or putting 10 shots around the green . Or whatever .

He's right . It's a shame there are players pulling that crap .

He also mentions using the withdraw option when exiting . In my rounds they never use that . If they did I wouldn't have so many problems .

There are several different scenarios that occur when they quit . None of them good . Losing out on the sponsor round , getting a false forfeit , and jumbling up the program adding another minute or 2 to my LOADING RENDER OBJECTS on the next round .

Not to mention instead of getting this screen below that generally gives them the forfeit

    I get this instead .

    And even sometimes this

Lol . Right ? I can assure you neither are correct . Ever . I literally have dozens of these . Real pain in the ass .

    Maybe because it identified players?

No . He didn't . IDK why . It was in the email responses . That's why I didn't quote him . I could have . But if he decided to delete it . It wouldn't be fair to quote him . I think it was because he used the term " butt hurt ".

Note to moderator, I am only reposting the above post.

    This is a test....This is a test....This is a test.

Now we see if you are right. If you are, you are in big big trouble.

Not a big deal. It's called being moderated. I suppose everyone was moderated at some time or other, but It makes the responses irrelevant and back 3 pages instead of part of the current conversation. How long does moderation last?

I see it now . Lol . And I even looked and missed it before I said anything above . Oh well . All good sir . Good post BTW .Good luck on your moderation .

In fact it is worth reposting

    Duphpherer:

I'm good with forfeiting. Just do it correctly by using the withdraw option. I play my 30 min sponsorship trying to get as many apparel boxes as possible and forfeits help that cause.

Those that slam the game shut waste 3-5 minutes while the game times out, which of course was their rude butt-hurt plan. They should be suspended.

Anything is better than the 12 yr old player mentality that use up their entire 10 shots putting around the green.

    Takes all kinds...

What are you going on about ? I'm not sure . Do you think I am using offensive language ? That you are reporting me ?To suggest moderation ?

1st I was not being offensive to anyone . 2nd I do not push the boundaries of moderation . 3rd I just got off 5.5 years moderation . 4th these forums are more trouble than they are worth . You will not see anymore posts .
