I will still play with starter balls...they're just as round as the expensive ones. Only grief I get is sometimes my random p's won't play with me when they see them. They actually curse at me and leave the game...lol

Ha .... Hall of Fame ...

Another hollow prestigious sounding title, just like the name  "legend"  when they dreamed it up ...

Designed to elicit oohs and ahs from some people ...

Let me see if I can further clarify things ... people are usually inducted into a "Hall Of Fame" after a lifetime, or really long time of service and accomplishment in some field ...

Hard to see how winning one yearly series qualifies one as worthy of that type of distinction, but it's wgt's call ...

I am guessing that Young46's appointment to the Hall of Fame was based not only on his skills and accomplishments but also on his contributions to the game (e.g. his YouTube videos and his participation in some of WGT's broadcast events) and maybe even his popularity within the WGT community.  I don't think we'll see players appointed to the Hall of Fame in the future simply because they won a year-long tournament series that year.  But I could be wrong.  Like you said, it's WGT's call.

I think that is right . Future WGT Hall of Famers . Will likely meet more of your approval .

But the criteria for halls of fame's in other sports and fields . Are all over the place .

Just for an example . I posted the

subject title WORLD GOLF HALL OF FAME CRITERIA .

At the bottom of this page in my thread in CC Corner . I will leave it up for a few days .

If this post gets posted .

In which case he should have been preceded by other players well known to the community ...

I'm amazed Mag's didn't get promoted. Jason is very deserving of that Title

You people are missing the point entirely... which doesn't surprise me in this politically saturated world ... it's not about who qualifies for a Hall of Fame or what the qualifications are ...

The comment about Jason's appointment was merely an aside at the end.

Point being ... a WGT Hall of Fame Tier is silly just like "Legend" Tier was silly when they added it .... artificial and unnecessary ...

Go back and read my entire first post in context, and don't just respond to the bit you want to comment on ....

We could sit here and wrangle back and forth about who qualifies as a hall of famer or not ...

I say the tier is not needed ...

If that is really your point . That is fine . I don't think many will echo those sentiments .

      Lol . Okay .

My feeling is that these many dozens probably hundreds of hardcore dedicated players . Are long overdue of some worthy accolades , awards , recognition , benefits , whatever .

Just because WGT does not know how to do that . Most aren't even used to that . As a result .

      Doesn't mean that it shouldn't happen .

They are and have been necessary . Could and should be done to be very authentic & honorific . Not artificial .

As it is . The WGT way . You are right . A disaster . Even a joke .

I know that these players are worthy of more respect than that .

Like I said . It is way too big of a job for me . Or I would do it . I just don't know enough .

    <*><*><*><*><*>

Here is another thread of note .

presenting: WGT Hall of Fame......and all notable results & achievements

    |\|\|\|\|\|\|\|\|\|\|\|\

If any of you happen to read this far back .

FFS.......   it's just a virtual game.....             Has everyone gone completely "Covid Crazy'?

Do yourselves a favor........  get off your ass, turn off the screens......   get outside, breathe the air, admire the scenery.....walk and play 18  (the real deal).......

Looking forward to see the inductee's for the "Hall of Shame".........  and "Hall of Flame"......

      My response was ....

    LuckySkreet:
"Hall of Shame".........  and "Hall of Flame".

We all shut off our screens and have a life . My screen is off about 20 hours everyday .
We also have time to have fun , entertain , compete , strive to improve in various ways .
But not many of us have time to disrespect our peers like you do .

      Then I praised

It is not a matter of daring . I would only make the effort if several Veterans comprised a legitimate list of agreed upon recipients . With possible different categories and years .Then I would be happy to create some . I don't want to make anymore random guesses of recipients . I think this is a more serious recognition than some others .

At the present moment, it appears Young46 is the only one.

Someone had to be elevated first.

Young46 is a fine player, but more importantly he provides WGT with excellent exposure through his social media streams.

    Congratulations to him.

Nevertheless, Fmagnets is in a class of his own, and he does it with a middle of the range ball.
