AVG moved from 63 to 70

  Hi there! I reached 62.98 avg and became Tour Master. Then, i got into a 18 hole Tournament and finished with -2 par. I realized that my avg went to 70.00! How come??? What happened?? I moved from 62.98 to 70.00 with a single game that i even finished above par?? Its a 7.00 avg fall! Can someone explain to me what happened?

  Hi,

  that happens when you move tiers. Now your avg will be recounted again as you post new scores from new tier

  Ah, that explains how I went from 72. something to 84 average in 1 terrible round at Oakmont the day after I became a tour pro. It did have me scratching my head.

  Thankfully a 5 under 9 hole round at St. Andrews got it back down again.

  Frustrating... was tour pro finally competing and with help of Callaway balls. ended up Master and now I suck. Holes much longer and very high winds. Feel like previous effort was for naught !!!

  Don't worry...... it just takes time to get used to the new length and different approach shots.

  At least you can't say that the game gets boring......... :)

  But so many covet that average and have horrible stats.

  So right JB, not an average anymore, just a system to fool people into thinking they are better , kinda like the public schools these days!

  Exactly...heck, you could shoot a 30...then ten 40's, then a 30 then ten 40's....etc, etc....eventually your average will become a 60.
