On 3 occasions when playing back nine at St Andrews I see things happened on the 18th hole. I was Even and pared the 18th ended up with a 36. the next guy score was plus one and he was on the green in 2, he quit playing and the game ended. The score card shows him for an Eagle and he wins with a 35. Eagle was impossible because he was on in 2 and had 3 yard putt, that he never executed....HE QUIT! What is going on here....3 times I have seen guys quitting on the 18th green and get a good score??????? Please explain!.Thanks.
