Cant get putting down any tips out there?

  I have played a bunch of differnt golf games but this 1 the putting has me stumped any sugestions thank you

  The patterns going left or right you get used to. When I started with putting I never looked at the flag stick. On it has up or down in inches which is very important.  Now I can putt a 40 footer and get within a foot or 2 of the hole, cuz of the flag stick. And lotsa practice, practice, practice.
