Well, "punish" is a harsh word, but at least, like ranked events that you leave, you automatically FORFEIT the game. It should be the same when you create a ranked group and people leave when they realize they won't beat you... that's messed up!. If you leave a ranked game, the other player should get something for putting up with such sore loser! (few points or better avg... anything!)
