  Hi Alex,

                I think this is the best golf game available...but it is far from being realistic!

   I think that if you are not going to offer random weather conditions like rain, snow/frost etc, then a player creating a game should be able to buy something like rain  (heavy, light intermittent etc) from the pro-shop;

   also,  I would like to buy pin positions on greens ' they could be sold for 9, 18 holes or even individual holes:  It is so boring having to play the same (or choice of three) pin positions  all the time, although it is usually the same position most of the time..

   

  Most important of all;  I would love to be able to buy and equip my bag with any combination of golf clubs - to be able to duplicate my real-life golf bag with the same club combo on WGT is the single most effective way of making WGT a 'real life ' SIM golf experience.

  FYI;  my real-life golf bag is  Driver , 2,3,4,5 hybrid,  5 iron - PW,  56 & 61 deg. wedges + putter.

  OK, I have been playing this game for almost 5 years. I am happy to be a Master and like the game. I do find it rather difficult and mainly because my finger does not always cooperate by clicking the mouse at the right time. I just have a burning question.... How in the world do these 'Champions' keep an average score in the mid 50's ???? they must be able to stop the meter bar exactly where they want almost 100% of the time. To me, that seems impossible...

  Can you give me an idea of how they do this???

  its simple, start pregame warm up with solid dose of porn. That will insure your "putter" gets stiff and not wobbling on the greens. We higher ranked players all know most of the ladies we play with don't really look like their avatar thus enabling us to fully concentrate on the game. We also have learned not to hold the crack pipe in our mouse clicking hand as we play. Finally we guys all use the little blue pill to avoid premature E-Ding-Ulation while wacking our clubs. I hope you now can also pound a few good strokes yourself. Have a great day

  I have posed the same question in a different thread. The main responses are a combination of natural talent, good equipment and lots of practice. You can definitely improve your equipment. Level 92 provides you access to very good clubs and balls. Practice is self explanatory, as is simply having a talent, or a "feel" for the game.

  That said, it doesn't explain the variables that we all deal with...like inaccurate wind readings, or dots that mislead you on break or speed of the green. How is it possible to know ahead of time if a 15 mph side wind is going to affect your ball like a 5 mph wind or a 25 mph wind?...Practice and equipment makes no difference here. 

  I am an average player with excellent equipment and I play fairly regularly...Yet I am routinely fooled by the unknowns...I have no idea how the top players are not.

  Hi Niblick8,

  I may be way off the ball and if I am then someone will no doubt let us know.  My understanding is that  there are a certain number of ranked rounds required as you head towards the next level.  

  Once you have reached that required number of rounds then any subsequent ranked round that you play which is better than the worst round so far played, replaces that worst round.  Hence your average tends to go down as the bad rounds are replaced by the better rounds.

  Any bad rounds that you now play which are worse than the worst round previously played are ignored for the purpose of determining your average.

  So it not a case of having reached a particular level that you magically remain a near perfect player at all times.  Its just that any bad rounds that you play are ignored in determining your average.

  To select a new avatar, please follow these steps:
  
  1) Click the APPEARANCE button on the My Profile page or in the Game Menu
  2) Select a new male or female avatar
  3) Click the SAVE button

  i was at level 83 tour pro  68 avg.  went on vacation for 2 weeks in australia  and when i come back im a hack 150 and have lost all of my clubs, balls and credits    

   

  do i have to start over  or will WGT give me back what i paid for?????

  Hi Alex,

  Playing a country club tournament currently and my "Pass" icon is not in its usual position with the Nation pennant and notebook. The credits have been deducted and I am still enjoying the round, so I don't know if points will be properly awarded. Wanted to contact you asap after discovering the problem. Will inform you of outcome.
