Hello . Welcome to VOTSCC vs BMR . CC vs CC Interplay .

We are changing it up a little this this time . It will still be our normal 2 round fr 9 and bk 9 format .

But with our introduction of the new MOBILE Interplay format .

Since MOBILE plays stroke play . So will we .

In our format . 2 rounds will be played . Fr 9 & Bk 9 . Separately as 2 separate rounds . Can be played on different days . Or can be played back to back as separate rounds .

In the more likely possibility of a tie in stroke play .  If they end with 1 round each .

Each player will play a single player BLITZ on ST Andrews . The first BLITZ round completed in each players history will be recorded here by the player it will be their tie breaker score .

In the MOBILE play . Since the games are picked at random .

The course will be posted with the scores for each round .

In the event of a tie in the MOBILE play .  If they end with 1 round each .

There is a MOBILE CTTH . ST. Andrews sweeps .

The best score wins . ( if that doesn't work we will think of something )

I will make a new scorecard for tie breakers if that happens .

If the rounds end with 1 win and 1 draw . That is how it ends . The 1 win , wins .

I am posting this thread  BAD MOON RISING IN THE VALLEY OF THE SUN

In Community-Organized Tournament . In the main forums . As a common place for both teams and CC's and anyone . To post your scores , inquire about your opponent when necessary . Comment about your match . General discussions , etc

This will actually be our 3rd Interplay with Bad Moon Rising . And they have always shown to be  the best sports , the funnest to play . And love these events as much as we do .

Mine and our main goal in these is to have a fun competitive couple of rounds with  another CC . To friend with more players and set up future multi player mates .

Which we have done in all 10 of our previous Interplays .

Good luck to all . Play well . And have fun .

BTW . Yes I did borrow the tie breaker idea from Yankee Jim . I thank him for that .

with the CTTH as the tiebreaker

The MOBILE interplay is completely my idea . Am hoping to include this new format with all of our future interplays .

Do the players agree upon course conditions and green speeds ?

    Doc

Nope Doc .  The only time one can change course conditions and green speeds is during practice mode . That is one way to play big events in which it is impossible to attain some level of parity .

But the interplay events are usually played in match play mode . Which helps a somewhat imbalanced match up in that the match could go either way . And they don't count for anything . Maybe a little pride .

This time . We are playing stroke play . Regular conditions . And the default green speed of the higher tier . If there is a difference . It probably won't be more than 1 level . Probably need more experience at that speed anyway .

Again it is all for fun . If your not saturated . Close your eyes . Lol .

In these interplay events . Whatever the format is . Match or stroke , ? . The 2 opponents can see who they are on the roster above .

The 2 of them are responsible for doing what it takes to friend one another . Message each other .

      Discuss each others availability .

Agree on a date and time to play at least one of the 2 matches they will be playing during the event .

Do their best to show up and play that first match .

Often times this does not happen .

That just means you have to do what it takes to have another discussion and agree on a new time to play the first match .

Play the match . Report the scores .

The above is the long way . And just describes the possible procedure .

Sometimes the first time you see each other green . BAM You're playing .

Set up a time for a second match .

I love the 2 round format . As opposed to 1 round . 1 round can be such a flash in the pan . 1 and done . Very impersonal . Almost not worth the time .

2 rounds ensures that these 2 lovers of the game . Have to actually interact and discuss and strategize their precious schedules . To set up and play 2 whole 9 hole rounds over a 2 week period at least .

Like I said sometimes it just happens . But it usually takes some good extra effort . to get through these events

If and when that all happens . It is usually incredibly satisfying , fun , worthwhile . And you have a new friend for multi player matches . Probably a couple few others from his or her CC too .

D and I are in contact setting up tee times for after this week's expected clash.  We're guessing probably sometime Saturday.

With the Sun and Moon rising together watch out for extreme high tides.

Have fun and hit 'em straight,

    John
