    How do I create a link in green like many people here do?

    1.) Type something in the message box.

    2.) Highlight the part/word/phrase you want to use for the link

    3.)  Click the link symbol (to the right of the 1,2,3 bullet button, looks like infinity sign)

    4.)  When the box pops up insert the link to the URL you wish to link to, including the http.  (For example: http://www.wgt.com/forums or if you are linking to a specific post in a thread it might look like this: http://www.wgt.com/forums/t/5038.aspx )

    5.)  Choose "New Window" or "Same Window" from the drop down.

    6.)  Click Accept.

    7.)  If you did it right, the area you highlighted in Step 2 should now be green.  You can confirm that it works by clicking the PREVIEW tab before posting.

    The Insert/edit and Unlink buttons are grayed out for me right now.  I have tried all four of my browsers, and the option buttons are grayed out in all four.

    Hi Warren,

    Have you done this first ?:

    2.) Highlight the part/word/phrase you want to use for the link

    "Highlighting" is accomplished by dragging your left-clicked mouse cursor across the text, btw.  ;)

    Thanks PA, I know about hi-liting.  I want to insert a url link to another web page.  I'm really curious as to why these options are grayed out for me.  They didn't use to be.

      Seems to be a local problem, Warren... These work as well.

    Checked in both IE8 and Chrome.

    Thanks Snaike.  I tried, IE8, FF3.6.6, Opera 10.6 and Chrome 5.0, and they are grayed out in all four.  Guess I need to do some more local research.

    Let's try this:  Tresclub's Home Page

    OK,  Here's what I had to do to make this work:

    *  Type in the text of the url I want to use

    *  Next, Hi-Lite this text, and copy it

    *  Now, the Insert/edit link is enabled, click on it

    *  Paste the hi-lited text in the url field

    *  Select Open in a New Window

    *  Type in the title of the page (altho this is not really necessary)

    *  Click on insert

    *  Now click on the "html" option

    *  Insert name of url page to link text

    *  Click on Update

    *  Click on post

    Is there an easier way to get to the end result?
