  Please note that putter stats were updated with Monday's 1.32.08 release.   ALL putter stats have changed and the new values are listed below.  Chart is up to date.

  Starter -

  Was:  Precision=2, Forgiveness=8, Balance=1, Speed=1

  Now:  Precision=2, Forgiveness=2, Balance=1, Speed=1

  Tour Starter -

  Was:  Precision=2, Forgiveness=8, Balance=1, Speed=2

  Now:  Precision=3, Forgiveness=3, Balance=2, Speed=1

  Ping Anser -
  

  Was:  Precision=4, Forgiveness=8, Balance=2, Speed=2

  Updated again.

  Seems that there will be more than 5 swing speeds, so the Slowest, Slow, Moderate system isn't going to cut it.  I've decided to start using numbers.  Please note that meter speed 1 is slow and meter speed 10 is fast.

  Slight tweak to meter speeds after some more playtesting.  There are quite a few errors in pro shop graphics right now, so be careful choosing.

  Is it me or does the Ping putter seem way less accurate ? I've switched back to the starter !

  It's you.  Not found a thing wrong with the Ping.  It's definitely an upgrade over the starter and tour starter putters.

  I'm not sure how you could even test the accuracy , foregiveness, etc... the only thing I know is that I was missing a lot of short putts within 6 ft.

  My experience with the Ping putter vs the starter: The faster meter speed on the Ping makes hitting pretty close to the mark in the meter important. When I'm having a bad day (like today), I do miss a lot of 5 to 8 foot putts with the Ping, many of which I may have made with the starter. But if I'm hitting on or near the mark, I can make 80% of the 10 - 12 footers, and even quite a number of the 18 - 22 footers. All in all, when I'm doing good on the meter, the Ping knocks about 2 strokes or maybe a little more on the average off 9 holes.
