  Well done, mate. But the gimme part was not tested? Cause that's the one I heard takes the hits off. When you play stroke (I think it's practice mode only now) and you have a tap-in, you get asked to either "putt" or "take gimme". And those were the ones I heard take hits off the ball. I also think that was what Jay meant by "gimmes".

  I think I can test the "gimme" theory on thursday. Should be a quick enough experiment. Gonna buy a 15 cr sleeve and whiff the 1st ball off the tee (1% power and hit immediately after the meter starts) for max shots for as long as it lasts. Then get on the green in a gimme situation with the 2nd ball for 5 or 6 times and again proceed to whiff it off the tee until the hits run out. Should take less than an hour and I'll report the findings.

  On the Gimmies, I wonder if "auto tap-ins" are also considered a gimmie?

  I have seen this once wher i had on stroke left on the putt and i got the auto tap-in. Started the next hole with a new ball. It's still a stroke( "tap-in" )wich is on the line of fair or unfair :-]

  Happy to report that gimmes don't count as hits. I took 10 of them with one ball and zero with the other (whiffing off the tee all the way) and got the same number of hits on both.

  But, we are being taken for a ride, cause the 2 dot durability 15 cr WGT Spin ball has exactly 120 hits, the same as any 2,5 (supposedly) dot durability ball 🤣🤣🤣
