Timer to be set by game 'owner' 15, 30, 45, 60. Although 90 is nice when you want to do chores around the house & leave some poor sap hanging for 85 seconds between EVERY shot you take. Even 2' putts.

... and 90 seconds, and no timer at all, just as offered by TWO.

Good friends and solid players need no timer at all: they know they will never intentionally delay the other player. Plus, during those grueling 4-some 18-hole rounds, a 5- or 10-minute bathroom break after the front 9 might indeed be welcome for everyone. (The Pause Game functionality should definitely be implemented by WGT.)

Sounds like you and I have been playing with some of the same people...:)

I don't mind waiting if the person taking a long time ends up hitting a good shot.

Waiting 80 seconds just to see the other player shoot it into the pond or miss a 3 foot putt, on the other hand, gets old real quick.

'No timer' will not address players being dropped from the game due to connection issues or other technical issues. A timer is necessary, if there is not an option for the game owner to drop players form the game.

TWO gets by with the No Timer option perfectly well, and so would WGT, if this is programmed and implemented correctly. WGT's server should be able to detect whether someone is still connected to the game or not, and if not, then drop that player from the round automatically. (And there are other ways to address this.)

Yes 60 sec would be better than 90, but 45 sec would be even better.

Yes 60 seconds is more than enough. I've quit at least two rounds playing with slow players.  Rep thing or no rep thing not playing with anybody who wants to fart around every shot.

No, it's not. Read through this thread and you'll see there are many players who object to what you're saying. Just because something suits you doesn't mean it suits everyone.
