Maybe it's time for a quick recap. The team drawn with a (c) has a choice of which 9 holes they wish to play for all the matches in the tie. All matches are match play, including fourball = best ball out of each pair is the score that counts.
Format of each tie (all 9 holes, all played until a winner):
Each team selects 2 players to play in the opening singles.
Match 1: Team A Player 1 v Team B Player 1
Match 2: Team A Player 2 v Team B Player 2
Each team selects 2 players to play in the fourball. The player who did not play in the first singles games must play in the fourball. (In this scenario, both teams picked player 2 to play in the fourball.)
Match 3: Team A Players 2 and 3 v Team B Players 2 and 3
The final two singles matches will be played by the player who played singles but not fourball and the player who played fourball but not singles. (In this scenario, both teams picked player 1 to play both singles.)
Match 4: Team A Player 1 v Team B Player 3
Match 5: Team A Player 3 v Team B Player 1
