  I heard the tapping,I heard the knock,sealed my eyes so tight

  I couldnt,I wouldnt,dare to make him run in a fright

  I tried so hard,and harder I tried

  Bit my lip and nearly I cried

  There up above,a scuffle and scrape

  Im sure my friend,I caught a glimpse of his cape

  A flurry of snow,drifts from the eave

  I know he is here,and hope he wont leave

  Uncanny the sound of snorting and cough

  I cover my face,and turn my light off

  A Jingle Im sure,or was it a bell

  Or maybe a tinkle,its so hard to tell

  Squeezed up so tight,my eyes such a lot
