And yet it smoothed out EVERYONE'S meter....go figure.

Not really, it made mine like it was before the update...

I doth thinkith many of you do not understand how a server sided game works.

Bottom line is rather simple. A system is set up on the server side, whether good or bad, EVERYONE receives the same opportunity to receive the same identical information. The ONLY difference is each end users computer system. If you're playing on a 5 year old laptop, then you cannot expect good results,or rather the same results of someone with a more powerful system, and that is the end users sole fault.

I agree that it seems unfair, but the reality is that no game or server or admin etc etc can accommodate every end users needs, nor should they. As ANY game or admin would rightfully do, they would suggest what they know has performed best under the conditions they tested, thats not to say it will work for you. I be willing to put money on the fact that 90% of computers have porn related issues that do not show up in malware or anti-virus protection programs, over time a system becomes soo cluttered IE: Registry that it does the best it can, which in reality, is far less than its potential.

For EVERY tweak WGT makes to accommodate players, theres always someone else that the tweak made things potentially worse for. If they have tweaked flash to lower CPU demand on our end, kudos to them. And again, compatibility solely sits with the end user. Most people have zero clue how a computer works, they turn it on and expect it to make coffee and eggs while magically picking tomorrows winning lotto tickets. If your knowledge ends at the on/off button, then you might wish to explore your options. Regardless of anyones browser and flash, you can EASILY go online and test all of your computers software compatibles, which would easily allow an end user to tweak their own system to their desired needs, rather simple process TBO.

FLASH is a SIMPLE program. If you cruise the web, you're using it, just like JAVA, although not the same, you need both. WGT offers a platform, a standard in which to operate WITH. Just like any other website.

Side note: A lot of todays programs do not work well with older systems, even some as new as 2-3 years old. Technology advancement handicaps as many as it helps. Take DIRECTX 11 for example, many new computers cant run it, yet, its todays newest and greatest tec, soon to be replaced with another upgrade, same with Flash, and browsers. CHROME is a nice platform, FOR SOME PEOPLE, and for others it can be the biggest pos browser. IE, same thing (uuugh-junk)

TEST YOUR COMPUTER FOR COMPATIBILITY. Most problems arise there. Also, and this is EXTREMELY COMMON, and the main reason for compatibility issues....you up date your system incorrectly, leaving behind old information in your REG, this will cause major issues. Your system will most likely never inform you of this, but you can easily clean it up. Look into your system, google how to find/identify multiple softwares...promise you, if sont correctly, you will see a vast difference in performance, may not fix your specific issues, but it will greatly help.

If WGT claimed the problem was with Flash, during the update, that in of itself has zero bearing on to do with the games programming. Two COMPLETELY different things. Flash does not modify a gaming program, period. Flash enables you to see what you're intended to see via the gaming program. Thats a rather simple way of putting it, but it is accurate. IF after the corrections have been made and people still have issues, while others do not, those are the people that have end user issues.

I've used FF, Chrome and Max......my meter has been ok, no big complaints, a little stutter now and again. After they "fixed" it, or as some of you are saying, "didn't fix it" lol.....it has never been this smooth.

Why are some of you denying this? They said they were changing something in flash. And they did.

    So thank you WGT.

Some people in here choose to run all these every time their computer signs on in here.

    Windows 7

    Mozilla  /5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64)

    AppleWebKit  /537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko)

    Maxthon  /4.4.1.2000

    Chrome  /30.0.1599.101

    Safari  /537.36

All at the same time, running in the background.

I wonder if this has any affect on playing games?

I don't believe anyone mention in game manipulation at all.

WTF on you on about? As I'm the one that used the word manipulation I'm assuming you're directing your comments  towards me. If you are, you're all wet. Probably peed on yourself.

WGT has been accused of manipulating games forever and their latest admission does nothing more than fuel those claims. My comment was to make it clear they can't, just as they said.

    ithurtswnipee:
A full admission on their part that they can fix a messed up meter and you both are still pontificating that it is still on the onus of the user.

This latest fix was just correcting something they messed up in the update, nothing more.

    ithurtswnipee:
You two are laughable in the way you held their banner in the face of adversity. However you have been blown off the edge of your envelopes with the admission that they can, and did fix meter problems for a host of the people you both told everything was their computers fault.

Feel free to show me where I ever told anybody it was their computer. As one of those that has never had meter issues, it was clear to me that the last update fouled up something unusual because even my meter was slightly affected and that ding line WAS off center. Clearly something WGT tried to do and failed at.

Get your facts straight and wipe the pee off your face.

LOL I wonder how long the line is praising WGT today from what I'm seeing LOL

9 hole unlimiteds disconnect after 2 holes, meter jumping and racing again, putts hit with more than enough power coming up short on the new monthly tournaments....

Make it smooth until amount of play gets back to normal but can't leave well enough alone...

Not sure if you're serious or being sarcastic....

The obvious answer is DUH. If someone is running all of those programs at the same time, hell even a third of them, i'm surprised they even get off the first tee. Talk about killing a computer in quick fashion. The poor over heated struggling CPU is begging for a time out.

More and more dissatisfied customers.  Wonder when they'll finally address all of our concerns?  Here's my situation from a couple days ago.  Be vocal.  Broadcast your message.  That's the only way we'll bring about necessary change in this game which totally SUCKS right now!

"Can you tell us why, wgt, you're stealing credits from players because of glitches in your games? Many, many players have had enough of your game and your "software updates" that ultimately end up costing us credits and $$$. Challenge matches tied at the end of regulation end up now with a "blue screen of death" without the possibility of proceeding on and not allowing either player a chance to win the match. When confronted with this information, you at WGT, will only return credits spent - what about the use of expensive balls just wasted on a match not allowed to finish? What about both players opportunities to win out and add to their credit total. Your system is fouled up right now and you need to make this right to ALL players having endured your glitches. We spend time, money, and an effort to make your game better, but you don't reward us appropriately for our efforts when your system glitches. FIX IT NOW! REIMBURSE CREDITS LOST AND CREDITS POTENTIALLY WON! I hope you pay attention to this as many top level players have had enough. I've asked for appropriate compensation for my situation but you refuse to address my concerns or make good a situation you refuse to correct."

"Can you tell us why, wgt, you're stealing credits from players because of glitches in your games?

Can you tell us why you continue to play and/or gamble when you know full well the risk of playing any multi-player game? Makes absolutely no sense to keep gambling credits, not on the game, but whether you can finish the game.

I can't win RG's, so I very, very seldom play them. Every once in a while, when I am bored, and don't care, I will play a cheap RG or two, KNOWING that I stand a 1 in 50 chance of maybe breaking even.

This disconnect issues have been going on for a loooooooong time (and I will gamble that they will not be addressed/fixed in the next 10 updates/downtimes), yet players still try to play (and for some insane reason, gamble their credits), then come here raising hell, and demanding it be fixed and that they get compensated for "credits potentially won" (whatever that is).

I've said it 100 times. Multi-player games (all of them) are the lowest revenue producing aspect of this game, even though they are the most popular for the majority of players. And thus will always be put on the back burner. Always.

If WGT would charge 5 or 10 credits to set up a multi-player game, it would fixed and fixed quickly. Of course, then there would be those who complain for having to pay 5 credits to play 18 holes (foolish to play 9) with their friends, and/or do some gambling.

Here's the tip of the YEAR:

DO NOT GAMBLE ON ANY MULTI-PLAYER TYPE GAME. You're welcome :-)
