Thanks for your remarkable honesty, but you can't expect us to not answer.

But, instead of the usual stuff, I'm gonna say what I've learned lately:

    ENJOY YOUR LIFE!

For more of this mindset, look at the Clairity Project (link to youtube) of Claire, a happy young woman from California in severe health condition.

    PaulTon:

Myself and a few friends played golf after consuming 100 mushrooms each. We didn't keep scores, mainly because we couldn't handle numbers in that state.

The standard of golf was terrible, what a laugh though. We all seemed to be using vividly coloured vapour trail balls which didn't cost us extra credits.

Dunno why that memory popped up but I thought I'd share.

    Good 1 LOL

    Here's the honesty bit -

This week my doctor has confirmed that I have a condition called Marfans syndrome.

Very sorry to hear that.  The utter randomness of this mortal coil we get to tread never ceases to amaze........My best to you and yours from all here is all I can say, but it is genuine.

Paul..I had never heard of this condition prior to your post. So I quickly googled it, and this one line caught my attention:

"There is no cure for Marfan syndrome. Many people have a normal life expectancy with proper treatment.."

So stay positive, my friend, and follow your doctor's instructions to the letter.

Yeah, I read that too. I'm not gonna check the numbers, lol.

All that's changed is that I've been told something, it could be something or nothing. I'm still planning to live forever and I've got to say, so far so good...

But hang on, I hit a PW into a 15mph headwind, no spin and dinged it. It went .....

    Whale oil beef hooked...

Screw getting maudlin, just want to say you've brought (and continue to bring) a lot to the table and I only regret we'll both probably shuffle off this mortal coil not having had the chance to sit down together and have a few laughs over a pint or three.

Goddammit, maudlin is lurking behind my monitor waiting to pounce...

    Good attitude PT!

A somewhat close friend of mines wife was diagnosed with Cancer, no problem they said, opened her up, long story short she was gone in 8 months...

4 years later he is diagnosed with it, they tell him it is "really" bad, he has a year to live at the most but they can treat it and get him 2 or so....he says screw that, he changed his diet, read up and tried a bunch of "Natural remedies" and went on about it, and he of course passed away, 5yrs later of a Heart attack leaving a Casino!

If it's true that "Only the good die young", you should have many decades left...LMAO
