  Group 1 Match 8: Wooden Tees vs. SEL

  birchi wins 5&3 against terwyl1

  A tale of two nines, really. Terry came out red hot and was -8 for the first 8 holes which put me 2DN. The two great eagle putts on the Par5's really shocked me :) I was about to go 3DN on the 8th after the hit his tee shot dead to the flag, but I managed to drain a somewhat tricky 12ft putt. After that I was able to birdie the rest of the way while his putter deserted him, so we finished with me 5 up after the 15th. His play definitely deserved a tighter outcome, but I'm glad we finished in time for everyone to return their attention to the football WC!

  Group 2   -   round 8,  East Coast vs SEL Villains,  Kensabre vs ostfriedel

  Was happy to see my old friend from ECCC again after a couple of years. We both enjoyed a fun match in good mood and friendly atmosphere. In the end I, Friedel, won 3 & 2. But it was much closer as the result says. Ken played very well, but had some bad luck with his putts.

  So here is the result: ostfriedel vs Kensabre 3 & 2  -  three points for the Villains.

  (Gene (GEET442), replaced lingling18) no strokes were needed, both champs

  win for the braveheart patriots :)

  Played against Gene (GEET442) this afternoon and got a good start.Gene missed some putts by an inch , maintained the lead towards the end for a change..Nice guy to play and chat with.

  Very enjoyable game against Wooden Bees Capt. Dodgypputter.

  We both misssed loads of putts on the front, but my putter warmed up on the back for a 3up win.
