My issue with completely losing a ball when hitting it into a land hazard has a lot to due with occasional meter spikes.  I think we can all agree that we all experience hyped up swing meters from time to time, so why should I be penalized almost 40 credits for a bad swing that possibly might not even be my fault?

and to reiterate, my 1st request is for a GI2-SD golf ball please.  :)

The part of it that bothers me, is that the price gets into my head and controls a part of my play. If, let's say for example, I have a so-so round going on with a premium ball in play as I reach #17 Kiawah, if the ball's 'hits' is in the red zone, I proceed. If the 'hits' are in the white zone, I may decide to start a new round.  A newer ball that goes lost, will warm anyone up, a newer ball lost due to a sneaky meter will create rage. LOL

LMAO SP-So true. What a 22 cent ball does to the nerves.

For the cost of a gin & tonic plus tip I can buy a dozen GI-SD balls.  The former lasts maybe 30 minutes, the latter 30 days.

Exactly...that is why I don't tip anymore...thinking about the price of the balls.

When a ball gets to the red zone, how about an option that extends it's life.  I envision a virtual ball washing machine which provides new life for about half the cost of a new one...then, we'd have tip money again (wink).

Ball washers are safety hazards-I saw a guy break his leg falling off one.............
