every other iron in the set seems to stay true to distance but the 7 iron is particularly inconsistent.

e.g BB #16 approach shot usually requires a 155yrd-ish shot. 7mph tailwind so i have no backspin and hit  just short of full 160 and just left of the ding line and the ball travels 148yrds!

this is just one example of many. does anyone else find this with the 7-iron?

Yes Eternal many of us know about it, as does WGT.

Hopefully they will fix it with the next patch!

Def something goofy with that 155-160 yd approach on 16, it seems to fly 7-8 yards shorter than on all the other holes.

I hope you don't have many 160 yd approaches on 16 at kia ;)

Bollox... I like to lay up to 160 for my second shot.  :)

I find the 7I to be hypersensitive to spin control.  If you hit it with no spin, it'll generally go about 160 yards with a ding.  If you use full backspin, you can expect to lose 5-7 yards consistently depending on your ball type.

This has intrigue. The only irons I have used are the WGT freebies and the 1st upgrade. Both sets have 7 irons with integrity value problems. I have noticed, from time to time, this iron selection, regardless of brand or set, to show up here for conversation regarding negative performance. Of course the question is why?

I find this to be true of all of the middle and higher lofted G10 irons with the Tour SD ball. And sometimes it is more like 10 yards if the green is below you (hole 8 for example)

I just knew there was a reason that all my approach shots weren't attacking the cup like a fat kid on a fried twinkie.

Then again, I always prefer to blame the arrow and not the indian.
