  The spec on the driver for distance is 291, but when you start a game, the distance is listed as 240 or so. On other drivers, the distance has been the spec number.

  Are you sure you don't have your 3W equipped when you see that?  Your MAX Meter 3 Wood (L92+) spec is 240 yards.

  that's what i'm doing...just wondering why it wouldn't default to 291 yards...and i just double checked and the titles is equipped under driver, but that is something i will keep an eye on in the future.

  I think the only drivers whose pointers default to their rated distance are Callaway branded drivers.  I have that Titleist and had a TaylorMade club earlier that always defaulted to 240 on the pointer, though the club goes the listed distance.  Just requires you to move the pointer each time unless it's a straight shot.

  I think it's a subtle little move by Callaway (who ultimately owns WGT) to get people to buy and game their branded clubs.
