  um. Am I right in saying that your average is no longer affected when playing stroke play in a group? only if you play alone? if so this is preposterous and has pretty much destroyed the game. if so it must change. thankyou.

  No.  Your average will still be affected, regardless of whether the round was a single-player or multi-player round.
