  Actually, Levels are also considered when tiering up coin-only players. A while back, one of the moderators stated that. He didn't say how. He just noted that Levels are a factor in determining tiers for coin-only players.

  How about posting a simple explanation how under the rules of the game, under the conditions we all have come to know, does any player become a Legend with zero ranked rounds, with an average of 150, with no stats at all.

  Coin matches are treated like practice rounds for purposes of average and stats. In other words, they don't count so their average remains at the default setting of 150. And WGT has a separate set of criteria for determining their tier. A year or so ago, I saw a Tour Champion with a half dozen ranked rounds. 

  You do know what the coin rooms are, yes?

  A player doesn't have to play a single ranked round to level up, regardless of the venue he or she plays in. Levels are determined by XP points, which are earned in both practice rounds and ranked rounds. 

  I play very few ranked rounds anymore but earn well over 100,000 XPs a month. Levels are not tied to playing ranked rounds.

  Also, on mobile we see a lot of players who only play in head to head games, and never touch a ranked round for some reason or another. Since coin rooms do not count as ranked rounds, their average doesn't drop. 

  For the first few tiers we have specific levels that will push the player to the next tier. This way their aren't any level 90 Hack players or anything like that.

  Since coin games do not require play of a full 9 holes to meet the normal ranked rounds requirement for saturation... WGT had to devise a new algorithm and or criteria based on coin games progress / success along with level progression which only requires you earning xp...  neither of which show up in a players normal stats...

  Players can easily level up because they earn xp for playing coin games.  Some even increase xp earned with apparel and watching bonus videos at end of coin game.  

  These same but not all coin game specialist tend to struggle without sponsor apparel because they dont always learn club yardages when sponsor apoarel is not in effect... they get annoyed with ranked rounds where no apparel is in play, so they go back to coin games where they can drive greens or hit driver wedge to more holes with apparel.

  It was possibly 2 years ago or more when mobile coin game specialist were observed reaching l100  or so and remaining low tiers... so that is around the time when changes were started to be observed..  WE dont know the exact criteria, but obviously there are some including promotions based on level progression.  Some have been promoted beyond legend after extensive coin earnings and wins in higher stakes coin rooms.  

  Be careful who you call idiots ... some of the same people that regularly post in forums also try to help or direct people to helpful tips... yes some can be blunt and even obnoxious but try not to burn bridges with those who might just be able to help you.

  Actually, in the first two replies, players did provide you with the basic information explaining the situation. And only 1 person (IIRC) referred to you as sore loser. 

  In the future, maybe you might not want to start off by stating something is 'impossible" and those you have played against are "apparently cheaters." While you complain about the rhetoric you received, it simply mirrors how you framed your post. 
  
  You also might want to be careful about calling others idiots when you're the one who clearly didn't understand how the system works. There's no small amount of irony there. And the coin matches were introduced quite some time ago. They're not new.

  Maybe the people who run this game need to update their published information. I don't sit and pour over these forums for information that should be published in plain sight. As I said, I pay money to play this game, I think its not asking too much for the rules to be clear and available. What follows is what is published.

   

  From the FAQs:

   

  What are Tiers?

   

  A tier is your golf classification at World Golf Tour. Based on the scores you shoot in a 9-hole or 18-hole Ranked Stroke Play rounds or Stroke Play Tournament round, you will be placed into a tier. 

   

  Advancing to the next Tier requires a qualifying Average Score AND a minimum amount of completed stroke play games, which will take a little more time but will help players reach the Levels necessary to unlock upgraded equipment that is helpful to compete at higher Tiers.

   

  What is Stroke Play?

   

  A stroke play (skill contest) tournament is a tournament where the person with the lowest score wins. Each shot that a player takes during the round is counted and it totaled up at the end. All of the players who have entered the tournament will be competing against the players in their same tier.

   

  What is a Ranked Round?

   

  A ranked round is a stroke play round that will count towards calculating your tier. If you are playing a ranked round and you decide to quit or you lose your internet connection your current game will be saved automatically. You will be prompted to continue your game or quit it the next time you begin a round.

  What average do you need to Tier up, how many rounds do you need?

   

  When Hack average is equal or less than 100.00 you move to Amateur

  When Amateur average is equal or less than 80.00 you move to Pro

  When Pro average is equal or less than 72.00 you move to Tour Pro

  When Tour Pro average is equal or less than 67.00 you move to Master

  When Master average is equal or less than 63.00 you move to Tour Master

  When Tour Master average is equal or less than 61.00 you move to Legend

  When Legend average is equal or less than 60.00 you move to Tour Legend

  When Tour Legend average is equal to or less than 59.00 you move to Champion.

   

  But

   

  Unless you win Ready Go Tourneys you need a certain minimum number of rounds played before you can move up to a higher Tier. This is commonly known as “saturation.” Once saturation is reached WGT calculates your average based on the best rounds you have played in your current Tier. Both the minimum to get to saturation and how many rounds your average is based on is:  

  5 ranked rounds as Hack before reaching Amateur

  10 ranked rounds as Amateur before reaching Pro

  20 ranked rounds as Pro before reaching Tour Pro

  25 ranked rounds as Tour Pro before reaching Master

  40 ranked rounds as Master before reaching Tour Master

  50 ranked rounds as Tour Master before reaching Legend

  500 ranked rounds as Legend before reaching Tour Legend

  200 rounds as Tour Legend before reaching Champion
