  ..... on the 1st tee box at St Andrews, there was a 20mph tailwind and I started the round with my last callaway ball.

   

  **** this is a made up story plot......all replies should just be an add on to the story.....let's see where the story takes us.....keep the replies to one or maybe two sentences...should be fun****

  My ball bounces over the water in front of the green, then rolls to within .001' of the hole. You'd figure "Easy eagle." right?

  The ball starts moving again as I stand over the putt, I look up and the wind speed has increased to 45 mph, i can see my pants hanging out like flags and my comb over is at 180 degrees to my head.

  With a sudden gust to 50 mph, the ball picks up speed and is actually rolling UPHILL toward the back of the green!

  So I finally get over the ball and hit it just as the wind reverses AGAIN and blows my ball into the burn.

  Or I backed off my driver and dinged a 240 yd 3wood 338 yds straight into the burn !

  I chicken out, choke down the driver way too much, get metered, ball limps over the heavy stuff onto the fairway... I collect the Bronze Choke Relief award at the end of hole. Starter balls will have to wait till next hole.
