He's a caddie ... with a handicap of 15?  Let me guess ... his notes are just a course yardage book!

I'd rather have this guy ...

      Name:  Mike

       Age:  61                                  Height: 5' 11"

      Caddy Experience:

Mike has been caddying for 32 years.  His current GHIN is 1.2, or 1 on this course.

His extensive notes makes him very much in demand.

Mandatory caddy fees: $100 per round. Two player maximum.

Tips are always welcome and encouraged.

Last year I played at a private course that requires you to have a fore-caddy.

The idiot I got stuck with was cute ... it's just he didn't know squat about the course.  Any time I asked him a question outside the obvious, he would pull out his yardage book.  The thing was, I bought a yardage book in the pro shop before the round.

He was more of a walking golf cart than a caddy.  And I had to pay for him to lug my clubs around.  At the end of the round I gave him a tip ... "learn the course and be prepared for questions" along with $10.  He was a bit pissed that I didn't give him more.

I would have rather had a golf cart!  Probably would have given me more insightful advice too than the pinhead I got stuck with.
