what the shank?

    Six different times ,out of the rough on BPB # 6 2nd shot,I hit it just right and it takes off thirty or forty yds the wrong direction.Its the only hole that it has ever happened on and it has happened 6 times.Has anyone else had this?What the hell is it?

    I've had it several times and on different holes. In particular, I remember BPB #13 (Par 5) from FW, about 50 yds out - shank into the wood, OAK #9 from the rough on the greenside of a FW bunker - a Mickelson lob looping backwards.

    In general, steep slopes up may broaden the chances.
