Has anyone noticed that  the Pro Tier prize value and the Master Tier prize value is equal since at least February of this year for the monthly opens?  Last year the Master Tier prizes always had more value and seemed to be motivation to climb the tier ladder so you could play for bigger items.

Current structure seems to lend itself to sandbagging, which appears to be a growing topic of discussion.  Also seems to encourage multiple accounts for the less than honest.  A master could easily open up a second account and compete against the pros in a very short time and walk away with the loot.

Yes the Master Tier does offer more credits for the free weekly tournaments, but come on......prize value for free weekly tournaments is a pitiful sum since restructuring last year.

WGT, please consider a revamp of the Monthly Tier Open prizes to award those who have achieved Master status by investing much time and money to learn the game.  My belief is this will also encourage those who are intentionally lingering in the Pro tier to move up.

I am grateful for the prizes with get to play for currently but would love to see them return to items like a new driver, set of irons, etc as they were last year.

Couldnt agree more Jake, although 3/4 of the sandbaggers on here generally particiapte in match play challenge games. I report the most obvious baggers and get the normal reply.... "We'll look into it" so dont get your hopes up for immediate change.

I think this defines what I call "lazy sandbagging". A player without enough class to even try to camouflage what they do. It's base and absurd and fools no one except the one doing it.

Now Lee, I'm sure all those variations in scores can be explained... Why often my kids will run and tackle me several times during a round - guaranteed lost ball! And let's not forget those pesky pets! My ninja cat is constantly stalking me, much like Cato to the Pink Panther - waiting to pounce! There goes another shot OB.

Forget tournament pressure, this gent is obviously succumbing to a most strenuous playing environment possible - his home. I hope you fellow forumites will take greater care in the future when so cavalierly throwing out such defamation of character remarks. Think of this poor man's plight.

God damn ninja cats, I have heard that all to often.  That and being drunk.  One guy I truly loath, no name mentioned, shoots pretty great scores, and throws in a usual large score when there is money on the line.  I confronted him on this a while back, his excuse, "I drank 23 beers then played, not my fault, I record all my scores man"

I can't adequately relate my disgust at those scores...  and that's unusual for me.

The only solution that comes to me is an advancement in tiers correlated to earnings.

There is no other way to confront this type of scumbag that I can see.  There are no T&C violations, nothing black and white, but a glaringly large loophole that he/she has decided to call home.

Funny... I always considered golf a gentle(person's) game, but DBs like this one make me wish that WGT would remove all pay-out tourneys.

    Bad form.

That's exactly what motivated this post as I wandered upon the same thing.  The kook ahead of him has some similar scores as well.  Just irks me a tad knowing these scumbags get the opportunity to compete for the same prizes we do.  I've seen more and more wall posts from people like this to their friends saying, "Yeah I made master and it sucked.  Couldn't win anything so I opened up another account."

If Price and I played in a foursome of real golf with these morons it would go something like this.

Jake:  Hey 007 how far did you hit that foot wedge?

007:  As far as I needed to!

Jake:  You're great with that club.

007:  Yeah, took years to perfect but gets me out of a jam every time.

Price:  Hey Stormy, what did you take on that hole after going OB and 3putts?

Stormy:  Mark me down for a 5, net 4 cause I was stroking.

Price:  Quite a feat my friend.

Stormy:  Yeah, I took relief from the bulldozer that was OB cause it was ground under repair.  I know all the rules!

Jake:  Hey Price, how far should I throw or how long should I hold these kooks under water?

Price:  Like the old saying goes....as far and as long as you need to old buddy!
