I am at a master level and finish 95% of the ranked rounds that I play. Over the past month, since St. Andrews was introduced, my scoring average moved from around 64 down to 59.5 for a week. The reason wasn't because I was better but because I played St. Andrews almost exclusively, a course where a 30 is an average score and I have several 27 and a number of 28. I have taken to playing the game in this way to get a true average. I play front nine at Bethpage, front nine at Kiawah, St Andrews, back nine at Bethpage, back nine at Kiawah and St Andrews again so that my stroke average is a little more correct. After one series like this my average was up to 60.5 mainly due to some very good play at Bethpage that won't be duplicated. I wonder if there is any way that WGT can put a rating on this courses so that they will truly reflect the scoring.
