Hmmm was a beta tester. They want 59$ for a year membership. Two courses were added for the release today. Oakmont and Harbor Town.

The 60$ per year will dump a lot of sub 18 year old here in WGT(they have no money)

Im surprised that they were able to release Oakmont with WGT's involvment with the USGA.

    Lawsuit  lol.

Interesting.. Tiger returns to the links and TWO comes out of Beta. Methinks some marketing was involved here.

They might.. but when they find out this isn't cartoon golf, they'll go away again, looking for the next easiest thing that they can apply their 'twitch' reflexes and their "l33t skillz".

I am curious, though I'm not interested in dropping $60 for their game, in what the 'special offer for open beta testers' is.. perhaps someone here can enlighten us?

Still 59.99 but you get 3000 points to start rather than 1500 points.... *yawn*

Or oooohhhh you can buy points a la carte!... $10.00 for 1000, $25.00 for 2500, or a door busting $40.00 for 5500!!  (Don't know if you get full access to all courses... you would play as a guest member?!?!)

I think I'll stick around here thanks....

Yikes, I haven't been there in over a month, but it looks like I won't be playing a round there anytime soon for a change of pace.

I wonder if they gave the coyote a pass or did he have to pony up as well.  Those ACME clubs could get quite pricey.

From what I read, being a member allows unlimited access to all courses and tournaments.  If you play a la carte,  you pay greens fees for every round. At a price of 150 points per round, that $40 will get you 36 rounds. That's not counting if you use your points to buy upgraded clubs, which by the way, only last for 15 rounds. It looks like the money machine is up and running at EA now.

On a side note 2 courses are still free to play, for now...........

Ehh, I like how WGT does things. Free, with an option to upgrade clubs for a more pleasurable experience. From the small amount I have heard about TWO, I think we're all at the right place =)

    Tiger Woods Online... from EASports.

The best cartoon golf money can buy.

(I'd post the link, but I just can't seem to... must be something I ate.)
