I was on BP back 9 in practice mode and came upon this situation. On the fringe the scale defaults to 90. My distance was 20ft with 11" down slope which gives me a 9ft putt. I reduce the putting scale to 30 and hit for a 7ft putt, ball goes 0 distance. I have noticed this a couple of times before when reducing the scale. I'm using the redwood putter. I kinow you have to hit harder when on the fringe but how do you control distance for down slope? Why does the scale always default to 90 when on the fringe? It should not make any difference in the power hit no matter what scale as long as you are within the range of the scale. The putting scale should default to the distance you are from the pin imo.
