  Ideally, we could pick the pin to be played on each hole, but I would settle for a simple choice of "Original" or "New" at the courses with two pin sets because, frankly, the choice of Easy, Medium or Hard is useless.  Each gives a random assortment that may or may not be weighted toward the easiest or hardest pins, leaving a user with literally no idea what he's getting when making the selection.

  I agree, the choice is random, and since there are a lot of holes with only two pin positions, it's moot to be offered three choices.

  I take it that this may be an old concept which hasn't been followed through, like the former CC bank or "rewards"(sp?)
