The kamikaze line to #17 of St Andrews but it gets you results. Remember this is 185 yards out in 20-25% rough. Followed by a simple birdie.

LOL, that is hilarious but what an outcome.  I looked at the replay from a couple of different angles and it actually looks like you are standing on top of the first tier of rocks - maybe your ball actually settled up on the wall?

    Again, nice recovery!

When the pin is n the back i aim left and then hit a flop from 20yrds or so works 75% of time.

Oakmont #9 is a par hole.  It isn't a birdie hole, it isn't a bogey hole.  it's a par hole.  If you hit your second into the bunker, you can stiff the save 90% of the time.  Not saying there won't be the occasional birdie or bogey, but not on any kind of regular basis for any but the top players.  SA #17 is a par hole too.  Same principle - hit close, stiff third, par.  BPB#15 is a birdie-bogey hole.  It used to be my least favorite, but since I upgraded my driver and am hitting a much higher iron to the green, it has softened a bit.  But still, in my opinion the most dangerous green in the game.  You can be 4' from the hole and a heartbeat away from a birdie or a three putt.

This is from the front hole placement.  Put it on the back and it becomes a par hole as well, as the back tier is harder to get to but a lot more manageable.
