I did read through the FAQ'S but have two quick questions. One, can I only get credits for paying actual money? > Second, how do I invite friends, do they have to be playing WGT or can they be new to the game. Thank you very much.

While buying credits is definitely the easiest and fastest way to upgrade your equipment there are other alternatives. There are a few different ways for players to get WGT credits now and this blog post covers all of the options.
