                  Congrats to Grande Oaks. This has been a battle of epic proportions and a heck of a lot of fun. Well done to all the SEL players, esp those guys/gals who went down but still came on this forum to say thanks and congratulate their opponent. That says a lot and could not be prouder to be a part of this bunch of  "Dodgy Buggers".

    Congratulations Grande Oaks well played guys, a great contest throughout which looked like it could go either way.

    A pleasure to be involved in this one so a big thank you to the organisers and admin for bringing it together and running it. Most enjoyable and I look forward to a rematch sometime

    Well Nico;

    It looks like Pittfan has clinched the last match needed to secure a victory for GOGC.  It was one of the hardest fought battles I think we have ever experienced.  Played in the great style of camaraderie and sportsmanship.  

    As such, I have asked our members to play the 3 remaining matches in good faith.  Sometimes people feel that there is no point to play.  But that's my stand in light of good sportsmanship.  However it doesn't always happen as I would like.

    In any case I just wanted to express all of our players responses thus far... that they felt the competition was well run and we have met some great people and made a lot of friendships along the way.  You are truly a class act as a club, and we had fun!

    It has been a pleasure to be part of this competion. I and other Oaks members have SEL players on our friends list, so when they invited us to a match we had no hesitation in accepting.

    They are a great bunch of players who, like us, play in a very friendly and sporting manner but also fiercely competitively.

    After a tit for tat early start Grande Oaks were suddenly 4-8 down. To be honest this left us bloodied and a little rattled. 

    I had warned 'em in our forum, I knew SEL had a roster that could challenge any CC.

    Then our middle order batsmen stepped up to the plate, the pressure was on, we had to start grinding out wins and sure enough we turned that scoreline round and squared the match at 10-10!

    The remaining maches, I fancied our chances, we had some of our best hitters still to come.We eventually got the victory but after 10-10 there was never much in it and a clear winner couldn't be predicted. Exciting to the end, what a battle!

    It was fun, enjoyed the match and hope to do it again sometime, well played Craig, nice win m8!

    Fantastic match this has been so a big well done to the both clubs Captains and all players involved. Plus thanks to Paul for the trophy work and score updates.

    I know from checking our forum that we have all had a blast in this game.

    Two top clubs battling it out to the very end, and well done to Grande Oaks on their victory.

    SEL closed the gap slightly yesterday through Rob, and still two games to go. Be nice if those 2 games could be played out .

    Anyway great win bud, we may not have gave you a game like that a while back, so happy we have now.
