I have an unusual situation and am hoping someone who live in Canada can help me.

I have a can from Canada and I am trying to decipher the Exp. Datestamp.

Below is the photo of the canstamp from bottom of can. Please send me a PM for further explanations. This is for reals.

    Thanks in Advance - Yancy

    Thanks much for the replies.

If there is anyone in Canada who can visit a grocery store and take a pic or notes on something easy please message me. I will gift you some balls or whatnots. Semi-urgent as I have a time window.

    Sincerely, Yancy

Hello again Yancyman, have some news for you, not sure if it's good or bad. For some reason my messages aren't being posted to you privately so this forum will have to do. Just got back from grocery store and have info for crackin the code.

    BB/MA11OC12   12:23

BB = Best Before, there are 3 possibles for MA, either it's the French translation for Best Before - The actual Product Code - Warehouse Code (for where it is stored inside shipping house)

11OC12 is the actual Best Before Date  11th day of October 2012.

12:23 was the actual time it left the assembly line.

The wife and I went all Sherlock Holmes up in the grocery store and found that all, cocoa, coffee and other canned goods had on average of 1 year to a 3 year shelf life. We also asked the Grocery Manager for times sake and she verified our assumptions.

Hope the info helps my friend.

I am not ready to talk about it - yet - wait for it. It is a long story and it still needs to play out. Its good though - im super cereal.

I  may be a common man - but I aint no foo when it comes to my tradings and such. If needed you will see Yancy get his well-earned closure.

It is not contraband or anything of a prohibtivables by law.

    THX - Yancy

PS. remind me in a few days to tell the story - i get forgetful and whatnots.
