    Joeyola:

It looks like the only thing really new in the Pro Shop, in top level drivers, is the R9 TP 8.5 (L80+).  All other top level drivers, according to the description info, are the equivalents of their old Pro/Master counterparts.  I don't see anything that would make me want to switch my current R9 Master Driver for the new TP...the characteristics are the same and it only goes 5 yards farther at the sacrifice of a faster meter.  If I am missing something, let me know.

    Joey

They did say that all the equivalent clubs had slightly tweeked meters to make them easier to hit so maybe that applies to the new R9(L80+) as well.

Hey Vegas man, your not the only one with a "poof" round. I just started a tourny w/3 birds and had a 4.5ft putt for the forth.

I have just noticed this tournament and it has to be said it was nice playing Kiawah from the old tees. A nice reminder of how things used to be before the changes. However it does beg the question, what the hell is the point of pushing Legends back to "even the playing field", if you are then going to put them forward in one of the premium tournaments?

If you are going to level the field then you have to do so in all competitions, otherwise it makes a total mockery of your original intention.

    What's missing from this sequence?

    Pro

    Tour Pro

    Master

    Tour Master

    Legend

    ..

    Got it?

    Yep Tour Legend!!

So playing from the old tees will reduce the averages of current  Legends and create a group big enough to form the Tour Legends!  Brilliant WGT!  Go for it!

Another observant and correct solution, andyson......I just submitted your name to WGT"s selection committee, to make you the first player on the new added tier. haha, gotsha

LMAO!  How nice of you oneputt!!

The committee contacted me this afternoon and we reviewed my qualifications.  Well, once they stopped laughing, they said no but asked for my help anyway.  They explained how they are limited to the championship tees and in order to provide a further challenge to the new Tour Legends they have created the Tour Legends pin set and new, faster green speeds.  They asked if I would be willing to try them out and provide feedback.

I agreed and they sent me a special link.  Here's a look at the Tour Legend pin on St. Andrews #2

I finally made the putt on my 7th try.

I eight putted #1, 3 balls rolled off the green into the burn.

My feedback to WGT?  "These pins & greens are PERFECT for Tour Legends!"

Ah yes the Abyss, I know it well. I've had the pleasure to exert my putting skills there a "couple" of times. The first, after the putt rolled 27ft in a horse shoe pattern and returned to it's original position, I conceived a different shot selection was in order. So trying to save a bogg or worse dbl, I decided a delicate flop shot was in order. Needless to say after "three" attempts and 6-9in divots on the green, one of WGT's marshalls escorted me off the course and was forced to WD.
