  That was one of the most astounding shots I've seen. To have the imagination to realise that being that close to the wall, with no chance of a free drop, that hitting straight at the wall is quite something. For it to actually work and get him on the green is something else entirely.

  That seriously made up for his previous shot to get to that spot, which was a real horror show. He was in the rough on the other side of the Road Hole bunker, and got a complete flyer. He was lucky not to fire it out of bounds.

  The announcers were actually talking about that same shot when Phil ending up in about the same area on 17.  It was crazy to see someone actually attempt that shot.

  I think it was a bonehead move of reckless abandon to garner attention in an OPEN the he's NOT going to win.

  It's not like he put it close enough to save par anyway. lol

  That was classic. My wife ,who is not a big golf fan, said on the previous shot that got him there, asked is that guy a professional. Then she saw that shot and I think now she is a fan of golf. Man I love golf hahaha.

  That is absolutely insane. Unbelievable - thats what you get for thinking outside the box lol.

  His playing partner couldnt believe it either lol.
