    Isurion:

Played Links386 then LinksLS since the mid-late 90s.  Was only golf game worth it's salt really.  Was a shame when Access sold it off as thought all was lost.

You might be able to run it on the free DOSBox which is available at XTC as well as Links386. (plus other games)

I play the Nicklaus Signature Edition and imported their 20+ courses, then found dozens of courses, famous and fantasy, made by designers on web forums. e.g. starwarsngolf

It was a stand alone chat program ( I seek you) that you DL'd and installed and was very similar to what we have here. The real difference was you could group the contacts, PM them individually and carry on chat if you were both online as well as monitor online availability. It made it real convenient getting matches and was what made playing the Links tour so successful.

I played Links also then EA Sports Tiger Woods for 6 years and yes the hay days of Cases Ladder.Teams ladder with 50 teams 20 players per team, singles ladder and many more.I miss those days of real completion when games were usually won or lose by 1 mistake. Now  adays when players shoot -24 and with 100 game winning streak the ladders just dont work.

Yes it would be worth it to download. I play it when WGT is down for maintenance and when my internet is having issues on occasions. I believe I only payed $6.99 for the game then about $4.00 or $5.00 for the extra course packs. There is a link to a website that you can also down load clothing and club sets for your player for free as well. Here's a pic of it. The online competition part is pretty much dead since it's a rather old game. But there are groups that still have online tournaments together.

And here is where you can get courses and clubs for free ( Ani Skins overlays for your clubs to look like the branded versions)
