I  read or saw some video that mentioned somewhere you could get to pick a certain hole to play and could take as many as ten shots at it ...........anyone know where and how?

you can do it with 3 holes ,practice rounds ,over and over again ,not aware of one hole only  ,unless you restart the same hole over and over :)

    Go to WGT Community,.

Golf Courses.Choose a course, then choose a hole.

You can repeat the hole as often as you wish.

    I hope this helped you.

At top of page, click WGT COMMUNITY, then golf courses, select a course, from there you can select a hole, play it, and play it again etc.

This is also a very good way to get your consecutive day bonus if you are strapped for time. Choose a par 3 hole and you get your bonus in no more than 4 shots usually just 2 or 3. But as Mantis pointed out it is from the short tees and has only standard green speeds any higher tiered players don't gain a whole lot of experience playing the hole. Maybe the conditions should be tied to you tier so you could really get quality practice time.

What I've done on the Par 4's when wanting to try something new, is tee off with a 5 or 6 iron, to get my normal-ish approach distance.

I even birdied no.9 at Oakmont . Fun to fool around on the different holes with out having to go through the whole coarse.
