Playing From The Water

  Her ball hit the bank and bounced back into the water making a loud "SPLASH". It shows as 60-70 rough, and I would have thought it was just a visual error had I not heard the splash.

  Anyone else ever get to play their ball after hearing the splash and seeing the ball go in the water?

  Not exactly. But something similar in which it states it's in the bunker. I was like... OK, if you say so. Pics below.

  I could understand BP's situation if you heard the splash first, then the dull thump of the ball bouncing out onto terra firma, but not the other way around.

  In Roberts case, there is an area between the rough and the water that is designated as bunker wall, so I guess that is where WGTs programming has decided you are...

  Who needs a rock when you can walk on water? It's not arrogant if you have photographic proof. 😂🤣 Note: I never heard a splash when I ended up here.

  On 2 occasions I have had the game indicate I am in a bunker (one was PB #8) while it looked like I was in the rough along the edge. It’s like a littoral zone, part bunker/part rough. I played it as a bunker shot only to watch the ball fly high and over the green. I watched a Twitch stream where the same thing happened to the streamer on CB #4. He played it as a bunker shot and landed on the ridge behind the green.

  similar to another kind of a weird glitch in the game that occurs.

  Ive seen it primarily at Erin Hills but here or there some other places. 

  Virtually any hole at EH if you are right beside the bunker and it' says rough. it's lieing. better play it like a bunker shot.  Only way to kind of know whether the game is lieing or not is to notice if sand flew up when it landed.

  I was playing Merion and the other player hit in the water, but it was playable. Both her feet were standing on the water and the ball was not visible. LOL

  Sometimes walking on water doesn't work... I had to wade out to this ball. What is the best shot for playing out of calf deep water?
