TS3 driver possible issue

  I recently purchased the TS3 driver (this is the old one not the new upgrade) and have had a few strange shot outcomes where it has underplayed by about 30y. 

  I use the L81 TM ball and my default distance off the tee is about 307y.

  The first time this happened was TP #13, tee shot should’ve carried at least 315y but only played 289 flying very low. 

  2nd time was WC #2, with a tail wind should have carried 340-345, instead flew 315.
  
  Both of these were tourney games and played on a PC, I do play occasional H2H on a mobile but, as yet, have not encountered this issue. 

  just curious if anyone else has experienced this.

  Apparel effects are not applied when playing regular tournament rounds. That is more than likely why you are seeing a difference in distance.

  I don’t use apparel enhancements, I ditched them all after finding out they didn’t work in ranked games. I saw no point using them if they were going to make shot outcomes different across the formats.

  Is it possible that you accidentally clicked on "Punch" as shot type? That would explain the low shot trajectory and the shorter distance.

  A tailwind will lower the apex of a shot. The wind pushes the ball down, which can account for the lowered height. That kind of shot often gets a lot of roll out, but it could die after hitting a roll on the fairway.

  Sammy, GolfeFrank in our club has very similar issues with his driver as well. Instead of the driver displaying 291 yards on club selection screen it only says 266. He says he’s on full shot, not a punch shot.

   

  I think there’s a bug going around.

  The OP and I have previously discussed this. I shared the below with him yesterday. This is with the new version of the club TSI3.

  Yesterday at TP #2, on the tee with a low crosswind, I teed it up, full shot, hit the ding and heard the corresponding sound, then proceeded to watch a real live honest to gosh worm burner traveling dead left for 244 yds. I mean it was a screamer traveling about 3’ off the ground, landing, then bouncing about 20 yds additional. If this were real golf, I would say I royally shanked it. I have never had that happen to me with any driver I have used in this game.

  Little different for me...My 3 wood will show different distances of 250 which is normal...260 or 262 or 265. I have apparel on my profile but use none of it. I use appearance only apparel. Lol. Cheers
