I hope everyone has taken their free shot although I see less than 700,000 prizes given so far.  I thought there were millions of wgt players. . . .

It’s a pretty easy hole to get close to - only a 90-yard shot and low wind at Pebble Beach.  Members of my CC report a sleeve of balls for each color:  Sapphire (GI3-S), Emerald (Srixons), Magenta (Bridgestone 0+), Marigold (TP5 48’s), Crimson (TItleist 0+), plus various ball effects and/or apparel packs.

No one has reported an HIO yet.

The rules say “each prize can be won only once.”  What happens if you hit the same color a second time?   It doesn’t say.  No prize?  Or next one down that you haven’t already won?

Care to share what your HIO prize was or the answer to the question above?

    Thanks,

    AKD

    As I understand it

As I understand it no prize for subsequent attempts that land on a colour a second time, and at $1.49 per shot or 6 shots for $7.99 I don’t think too many will be trying again, I could be wrong. I got a sleeve of tp5-48’s for 1 shot though which was cool.

    Way to go, Don!

In my opinion, WGT would have gotten a lot more participation had they allowed people to use their own wedges and golf balls.

WGT hands you a wedge and a ball you aren't familiar with so that you spend more 💰💵💰💵💰💵 trying them out.

C'mon, Nancy. You should know better by now. 😉

Cannot say what the payout is in this game, but ...

Las Vegas/Atlantic City casinos set payout at 95-98% depending on the game.  State lotteries are usually at around 55-65%.  Horse race tracks tend to be pretty low too.WGT is usually at 80%, but who knows with this game.

WGT has historically paid out 80% on their games, but is that true on this one.

Maybe that should be disclosed.  Until they do, I won't touch it.  Everyone is a loser if we don't know what WGT is raking off the top.

I disagree, Tom.  Everyone is a winner in this one, and wgt is losing money with this loss-leader.  Even a (paid for) bad shot gets you your money back with a 99-cent sleeve plus 100 ball effects.  Your free shot gets pure profit.  You don’t even have to use a hit off your own ball!

It’s an easy hole, and your loss if you don’t play at least the free shot.

Clearly, it’s somewhat of a “bait and switch” for future harder holes, but that’s no reason not to take the free swing this time.

There’s a sleeve waiting for you. . . see my first post.  Use the 85-yard wedge in Full and adjust only for wind.

I wonder if when this becomes a regular thing , they will allow credits to be used ? It would be handy if they would.
