    JBIII9:

Fabulous error free round of 60 for me this week at St George.

Congratulations! A course personal best for you throws you into the lead of this tournament by a stroke.

    Hi All,

An enjoyable walk around Royal St George. Just couldn't get anything going, missing more dings than usual. Then Maxwell Smart helped with my putting. "Missed it by THAT much!" was said over and over. Lots of tap in pars.

    Finished with a consistent 33, 33, 66.

Off to enjoy brunch with the bride.

Have fun and hit 'em straight.

    John

    Week 22 - Royal St. George's

    Score:  65 (-5)

A really good round for me.  My putting sucked a lot less than it has recently and while there were few highlights to brag about, I scrambled effectively when needed and hit a few big bending putts for birdies (on holes 2 and 10, in particular).  Saved par on 18 with a putt so hot I thought it would need to hit a house to stop but the hole took it instead (a rarity -- I'm used to seeing those bounce right out)!!  All-in-all, I'm really pleased that I got off the course with a 65.

Lots of nice rounds this week -- congrats, everyone!

    Steve

58 at RSG. Chronic putting managed to turn a 52ish from the approaches into that dreadful score.

-2 on the front and -4 on the back. Left a few birds out there. Cheers

58 for me at RSG.  A slow par-par start was jump-started by a 38-foot putt for birdie up the hill on #3 and a 23-footer for birdie on #6.  The highlight of my round was a 369-yd drive through the green on #12 followed by a pitch-in for eagle.  Don't get that too often.

Only 2 dings in 58 shots... bolstering my theory that dings are overrated.

    Wk23 St Andrews - 63

A slower start than normal on the home of golf with 4 straight pars, then 5 straight birdies set me up well for the back 9.

solid shooting on the back 9 excepting a solitary bogey at 17 after a bad kick took me thru the green and my chip left me a 6 foot curler which lipped out. Finished with a birdie to make respectable.
