    G1ler:
So my last piece of the jigsaw is whether I go for the L27-L31 Titleist Vokey wedges or the L50-L52 MAX Spin ones recommended by 1irony above.

I haven't played any of those wedges so this isn't about them, it's about your meter speeds across all your club. This often goes ignored and is a big factor in how consistent you are with your shots. Do your best to match them and you'll find your groove a lot easier.

    Darren,

That's almost the same progression that I'm following.

Only difference is the irons. I have the Cally Mavric L52, then the L85 Cally Mavrics (I like a slower meter 4,4 as opposed to the 3.0 that the L90 TM has).

I just picked up the L76 and L78 Vokey wedges..I'm halfway through L79, and when I get to L80, I'm going to grab a 3rd Vokey wedge.

Back in the day, when I began upgrading my clubs, my first purchase was the R9 driver...wgt sent me a free lawn mower and a GPS. I took the hint and my second purchase was a ball retriever.

Things have gone steadily downhill since.

I now stick to Alternate shot where I can at least socialize.:))
