One thing I've noticed about playing in the coin rooms is that some mobile only players aren't all that happy to find themselves looking at my level, tier and average not realizing it didn't get that way playing the game they're used to at all.

I mostly play Montreal for many reasons which I'll list, but quite a few have said hey champ, head to Bellagio where you belong.  Lol

    1. I can't afford that room as I've only got about 2 mil in coins which I've slowly built up over a couple of months of playing this, and besides I'm quite sure I'd lose in there.  I stay out of Tokyo for the same reason; there's mobile specialists in there who amass many coins by preying on people that go in there.
    2. I don't win all games in Montreal; that kind of suggests to me that's where I belong.
    3. The ugly sweater showdown..placed 35th or something in the middle tier...
    4. Yeah...still learning this version of the game.

So for any mobile only players reading this, don't be so quick to judge someone being in the wrong room just by looking at their levels etc.

Would be interested to hear other flash only player's stories going mobile.

    Happy New Year!

I am a mobile player, I don't care what room you choose play in,  i only care that you are not rude and arrogant

It’s nice to see sincere honesty on here. I find that playing high level Tour Masters and Legends to be my hardest opponents in the coin rooms regardless of what room I play. I usually stick to Tokyo but venture both up and down. I’ve also noticed players getting upset if you play in a room they don’t think you belong in. I look at it if WGT didn’t want you in that room there would be a restriction not allowing you to enter it. It’s pretty much the same as tireless brackets and RGs. I hope to see you online for a game.

When in a coin room and up against a much lower level opponent I never take a gimme, and I do miss some very easy looking putts.

I don't really care their level of playing as long as they're decent and "civilized". You can be good or bad at a game and it's not a big deal, just like on a real golf course as long as you're a pleasant company to play with.

And I don't care the level of coin room, either. I just want a coin room with plenty of people where I can actually play. Win or lose has zero importance to me. You can have all my silver coins! LOL

If players of any tier could see how I putt in this new version , they would be begging to draw my name in a coin room. 😂  It's learning to read greens all over again.

I reached Champion by playing on a PC and have only ventured onto the mobile platform to play the turf wars to support my mobile members’ efforts there.  I play in the Montreal room because I can win about 50% there, usually in the CTTH playoff, not outright.  I too find the level 90+ TM and Legend the toughest to beat, mostly because they’ve figured out the mobile putting.

True story:  in my last turf war, I played three rounds.  Lost to a Legend.  Then played two Tour Champions who had the $55 longest drivers and....... gold putters!  Beat them both, one by forfeit because he missed two three-footers.  And they both drove into the roughs.  They got out well, but not close enough that putting didn’t matter.

    Take-aways:

    1.  Golden putters don’t make the putt.

    2.  Legends don’t give up.

I’m an original flash player but for the last couple of months have been playing the mobile version a lot, not the PCEA version but my iPad version.

I’ve played a few coin games for small stakes, solely because as you say, still learning the game. Played the first showdown, as a rookie and a few comments were made, that I was in the wrong tier etc, but nothing abusive.

I’ve played a few rookies who were mediocre, and some that were very very good. I’m beginning to like the mobile version of the game, but I certainly wouldn’t want to play high stakes coin games, for now anyway!

your comments mirror my experiences on the new version.....i have been beaten by tour pro mobile players that can putt......i played ugly sweater showdown rookie division and finished 6th.....so it reflects that my game is still in the process of learning to putt on this different version than flash.....us flash players need time to relearn basicly.....my overall opinion is there are many mobile players that simply putt great.....not champions only but many lower tier players.....my conclusion is either its easier to putt on mobile or these lower tier players are not moving up the ranks like they should be......either way i will keep practising ready for next year when we have to switch over....cant keep getting beat by lower tiers its no good for the confidence lol.....

Firstly, I've been playing strictly mobile for over 3 yrs, and it doesn't matter if you draw a mobile or pc player, there is rude players from both sides of the fence, in the coin rooms.   I used to play the coin rooms, to gain friends and to recruit for my club, but alas the way most act, I don't need them to join us.  It seems that no matter what room I enter, I'm told that I'm in the wrong room, and have been cussed out in each room.  it doesn't seem to be limited to any particular tier either,  some tc tiers are just as bad as others.  I will say that most champs and tour champs, are the most courteous.    This being said, ur not the lone stranger unfortunately,  to this treatment.   I now hate the turd wars, and only play when I'm needed to help in a close one, and then I usually shut the chat off.  Shame these people have ruined a good part of this game, for others.
