Just started playing this game a few days now and am using the starter sets with no swing meter to get a feel for the game.

When putting, even driving and irons, I aim somewhere but the balls flies off in a seemingly random direction, nowhere near the intended line I aimed for. Is this a deliberate ploy to get people to upgrade sets for greater accuracy or financial gain?

It's definitely one way to get an enthusiastic golfer to quit playing.

    Hi

you are using ez-clubs, which are designed for starters to just get the feeling of the clubs. once you are more comfortable, you should have 2nd club set in your inventory, which requires an additional action (hot try to hit the ding line for perfect shot attempt).

There are masters and even a few tour masters with the starter clubs, so it can be done.

Thanks for the advice. I switched to the set with the small and slow swing meter and the game experience has improved immensely. At least with those if a shot goes awry then it's my own fault as opposed to being subjected to a random factor which was frustrating.

I can tell you, partner. I became a master with my starters irons, I feel very comfortable with them. I just would need a better driver. your game doesn't depend on the clubs at all
