  Just a small thing but why is it called alternate shot? I believe its called foursome match or can it be called alternate shot too?

  team players switch shots... 1 2 1 2 1 2 in that order, so they actually alternate :)

The first player tees off, the second player hits the second shot, the first player hits the third shot, and so on until the ball is holed. Tee balls are alternated so that the same player doesn't hit every drive.

  You got this totally wrong. Foresome is when it's played as stroke play. When played as matchplay it is called Foursome match. I am sure it CAN be called foresome when its played as match too but then it could be mistaken for "stroke play-foresome" so Foursome match should be the most correct.

  There are 10 - 12 match types played under the foursomes banner. 

  To name a few. (4 ball best ball) - (mixed foursomes ) - (Canadian foursomes) - (Ambrose) - (scramble)  to name a few as well as (alternate shot) & different country's also have different change ups on these game types 

  If I went to the (in game) player menu & sore foursomes match  , well it could mean just about anything.

  Having a match called (alternate shot) in the game menu makes it easier for non golf players (to no what is what)

  Foursome match is what it is. Foursome match is what WGT calls alternate shot, nothing else. The one you brought up has different names (as you just mentioned lol) and should not be mistaken for foursome match.

  It's only in Flash, not in the "mobile" apps. Thus usually played on PC.
