220 yard drives just are not doing the trick on the par 5s.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

the only way is to get on the course at the right time when the wind is at your back.  My longest drive with starter driver is roughly 250 yds.  It sure makes a difference.  The surest way is to upgrade equipment, which I plan on doing.

sir1970, you just buy a better driver for about $8-9, that driver should give you about 250 yards off the tees. (Even more with advanced balls.) I recommend the Rapture driver for $9; it's most suitable for beginners. See also FAQ – Deposits and Credits.

Ive upgraded my driver and balls just with earnings...I get on the greens just fine but I blow it every time on putts....If I pay to get a better putter wich is the best(easiest) and am I right that you get 100 credits for a dollar?

    Yes, 100 credits is $1.

The best putter is the Ping Redwood ($6) and the easiest putter is the Spider ($4). To make the best putter a bit easier, you can combine it with GI-D balls ($0.50 or so) that slow down its meter. That's what I'd recommend. (Or, buy both putters & swap them between rounds; that brings more variety to the game.)

just so I know ..on the meter the farther to the right the pointer is the slower the meter will be when putting?

    No,

Think of that like a spedometer or a RPM gauge. Left is slow right is fast.
